Operations Technician

As an Operations Technician at OpusV you will be expected to provide technical support to clients as well as resolving complex or escalated issues. You will work across a variety of hardware and systems ranging from simple desktop support, hosting services and networking.

By working with your team members, management, and clients, you will apply your problem-solving skills to identify and remediate issues. You may be required to set up devices and systems remotely, and continue to monitor for problems that may arise, roll out new software patches or updates and contribute to the overall IT strategy of both OpusV and our clients.

There may be instances where a site visit is required for you to install, diagnose, or resolve an issue for a client.


Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT Troubleshooting environment.
Must be an Australian Citizen, Resident or have a valid Working VISA.
Must be able to attend the Melbourne Office at least 3 days a week.

Responsibilities
Configure and commission new equipment, software, and services. 
Increase your knowledge and subject matter awareness to effectively communicate
           complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Maintain and update infrastructure for clients and internal use.
Implement and maintain business continuity measures and documents.
Contribute to company documentation through various approved channels.
Receive initial client requests through email, Zendesk and phone calls.
Create tickets and/or relevant documentation chains for all requests.
Actively engage with clients to elicit and triage issues.
Perform troubleshooting and resolution activities.
Complete and update any relevant documentation based on resolution.
Maintain accurate timesheets.
Escalate tickets to subject matter experts.
